19 September 2013 6th Hour Advanced Technology Warmup

The newton (symbol: N) is the International System of Units (SI) derived unit of force. It is named after Isaac Newton in recognition of his work on classical mechanics, specifically Newton's second law of motion.

To will investigate the connection between weight, mass, the size of a planet, and gravitational force.

We will complete the experiment together.

If you do not have a username or password I will demonstrate how to complete an account to the whole class.  You should have created an account when we reviewed usernames and passwords.  When we have completed the experiment together answer the questions, "Why would you weight less on Mars?"

You would weigh less on Mars because its smaller than Earth. You would weigh less on mars because it has a smaller amount of gravity pulling you down. Plus the air is thinner so you wouldnt weigh as much

You would weigh less on mars because earth has more gravity than mars. Also because mars is smaller than Earth. Finally because earth has life form
