In five complete sentences, tell me what this poem means to you.

By the way he looks
Or a book by the way it's covered;
For inside those tattered pages,
There's a lot to be discovered”

    What this poem means to me is that you need to read a book or know a person to judge them. Like with a person, it may look like they are not as smart as others, but they might be. Also with books, if the cover looks bad, you may not want to read it, but it might teach you important facts. So some people might misjudge. All in all, that is what that poem means to me.

    I really like this poem. You never want to judge a book by its cover. That means you never want to judge someone by how they look. some people look like they are mean but some of them might be the nicest people in the world. I really like this poem.

    i think this poem me is that you cant judge something by the way it looks like a book by its cover. it also means that if you judge something by the way it looks is and its wrong. your judging can be wrong if you hang out or read something or someone. if they act like they are nice and you judge they were mean then you have solved you judgement, same with books. if they are bad and you thought they were nice its the same thing, with books as well.

    This poem means a lot to me here is what they mean. First it means don't judge someone by the way they look. They could be completely different on the inside. It also means that once you get to know someone your opinion can totally change about them. So basically the person who wrote this wanted to get the point across that someone could look scruffy on the outside but be nice,polite,and have manners.

    I think that poem was weirder than the Adams family. it made no sense. it was confusing. I didn't understand it. I didn't have a clue what it meant.

    The poem is saying to never judge or put down someone that you don't know. The book cover could be ripped and covered in dirt. But that doesn't mean nothing good is on the inside.

    I think this poem means that when you don`t know somebody,don`t make fun of them.Or be rude to one another.So when you get your feelings hurt it does`t mean you hurt them back.Just ignore them and don`t listen.At least you know the truth

    It means to always look at the facts before making your opinion. It means to always be friendly to everyone. Always respect someone for who they are. Never be disrespectful to anyone. Always have an open mind.

    This poem means don't judge somebody how they look. Like you see a book that has a ugly cover it doesn't mean it's a bad book. It could be the best book you ever read. Just because somebody is ugly on the outside they could be beautiful in the inside.Just because a books torn it doesn't mean it's a bad book.

    What the poem means to me is not to be a bully for three reason.First,reason is because you have to know the person to judge them.

  15. Colt V. I like how the poem talks about how should not just judge someone by their looks. They can act different then you think by judging their covers. Sometimes when you judge by their covers your right on how they would act. But don't always judge people by their looks. So this is what I think of this poem.
