10 October 2011 Pueblo County High School

Today is my first day at Pueblo County High School, student teaching with Mr. Skul.  I am excited to begin working with new students!

My Last Day at Pleasant View Middle School

Today students in visual and graphic art participated in their first "First Thursday Art Walk".  We took the time to view the artwork the we hung around the school.

I had a wonderful experience with students here at Pleasant View.  I hope they all continue their effort in art.

Students received additional class time to complete their written assessments.

04 October 2011 Visual Arts Presentations

Students presented their finished sculptures to the class.  Students began their final assessment for this quarter.  Students are required to complete an essay expanding on their definition and concept of art.

03October2011 Visual Arts

Students received 30 minutes to complete their sculptures.  They used the computers to check PowerSchool and their online art galleries.

29September2011 Visual Arts

Students created mission statements for classroom behavior following group cooperation issues yesterday.  Students worked on completing their sculptures.

28September2011 Visual Arts-Sculpture

Students began class by creating a connection between banned books and different types of art that has been censored.  Students continued production of their sculptures.

Students began their class period with a discussion of temporary art and began construction of their sculptures.

Students finished the documentary, created groups, and brainstormed a design for sculpture created out of trash.

22September2011-Waste Land

Students began the documentary "Waste Land" as an introduction to their final project of this quarter.

20-21September2011 Visual Arts-Texture

Students acquired items from nature to create stamps.  Students used the stamps to create actual and visual texture.

19September2011-Critique Tiffany Glass

Students used an overhead projector to present their Tiffany Glass Projects.  They were required to identify if their design was representational, abstract, and non-objective artwork.
