2. Tell your group members what school you go to and what grade you are in.
3. Tell your group members about your favorite pastime or hobby. Be descriptive and use at least 3 sentences.
4. Share something positive about this project. Example: Are you excited about working with students that go to college?
5. Share something negative about this project. Example: Are you nervous about working with people that you will not communicate with in person?

I`m in Vineland Middle School and I`m a sixth grader. My favorite hobby is collecting 1970 and older trucks. I already have 1. It was my grandpas. His son sold it to me because he knew he wouldn`t use it. I`m actually excited about working with college students.The thing is I don`t have TV or internet at home so i have some questions.

Hi my name is Mateo and my favorite thing to do when I'm bored is recreational writing. I won the District 70 scary story contest last year. I also enjoy the movies and football.
I think it will be fun to work with college students because I wan to go to college on a free ride and I know I will have to work hard for that so I would want to learn something.

ReplyDeleteI am currently a CSU-Pueblo student in my sophmore year of college.
One of my hobbies is playing music. I can play guitar, bass, piano, and drums. I love learning new songs as well as writing songs. I also enjoy taking what I have written and recording it.
I am excited to work with students from another school. I think it is exciting to do this project using only social technologies.
The only negative concept I can possibly see from the project is the quality of communication between each other in the groups. Sometimes social interaction over the internet does not come off as strong as communication in person.

ReplyDeleteI am a senior at Colorado State University-Pueblo, and provided all goes as planned I will be student teaching next semester at an Elementary School right here, in Pueblo.
I love to ride bikes with my family; we often ride on Front Range Trail along the Fountain Creek/Arkansas River. Camping is another thing I enjoy doing with my daughter, I like going to places where I can see dinosaur fossils like Canon City and Picketwire Canyon. When I am stressed or anxious, I like to bake--just last week I baked 3 pumpkin pies; 38 muffins, 2 loaves of banana bread, 2 loaves of pumpkin bread all in one day!
I am excited about meeting students from school I have not had the pleasure of visiting. I have found that I learn more about being a good teacher from interacting with students than I have learned in any of my classes.
This assignment was unexpected, I am not really sure how it will go and that makes me a little nervous. I am also hoping to be helpful to students.
