19 March 2013 2nd Hour Technology Warmup

Follow the link and read the attached article.

Hacker Sentenced to Over 3 Years

In three complete sentences, tell me what you think about the sentence.  Is it fair?  Is it too harsh?  Is it too lenient?  Clearly state your opinion and then support your opinion based on information provided in the article.

When you have completed your warmup go to Typing Web.

Typing Tutor

You will need to complete two typing units; Home Row Keys and Top Row Keys.  Continue to work on typing until you have completed the two units or until I instruct you otherwise.  When you have completed your typing assignment you need to work on your Website project.

If you were absent yesterday, you must make up yesterday's assignment.  You will not be excused from this assignment.  You can talk to a classmate or me to find out what you need to do to complete your Outline Prospectus.  If you did not complete the assignment yesterday, complete it today.  You will not receive participation points until you have completed the assignment.

I think that this is fair because he can access other peoples accounts. I also think that he deserves 3 years because he could have been messing with peoples phones. This was all his fault for doing this.

No I don't think the sentence is fair. The jail time I do think it is fair. I just don't agree with the $73,000 is fair.

I think that is a lot of money he had to pay. He spent 41 days in prison. That is mean what he did. He deserves it

I think sentence is not harsh or too much. It is the right amount for our warm ups. If people think three sentences is long they are lazy, and they cannot wait for what is coming in the future for them to type or write. So, in my opinion this amount is perfect.

I don't think it was enough to punish this man. He seems like a bad man. He should be punished even more than he already is.

I think it is fair because when you do a crime you need to get punished. It said that Andrew 'Weev' Auernheimer Sentenced To Over 3 Years In Prison For Hacking AT&T Servers. That is what I think About it.

i think this sentence is fair because it is the amount for our warm ups. 3 sentences is very short if they think its long they are very lazy.

I think that he deserves 3 years because he is stealing peoples personal information. I know that I wouldn't want some stranger taking my personal information. He should should be charged with identity theft and have to face 5 years.

I think that it is harsh because he is looking at people's personal information.I know that I wouldn't let that happen to me.I think he should be in prison because that is not right.

  18. I think that it's impressive. I mean... it's not a good thing to do and I think the punishment was fair for what he did, but it's still impressive. I think that three sentences is less than what we she be doing. WE ARE SIXTH GRADERS. But some people apparently think that its so unfair to type ten plus word with proper spelling and grammar.

I think it's fair because it not cool to hack into some ones personal account.Even if he didn't get caught it would be stupid to do such a thing.
